All-time GOAT TV Series

Well only a few shows have a chance to win. But SNL is iconic. There’s like 20 shows on this list I never heard of.

There have been so many sketch comedy shows that are actually funny, though.

If you don’t think this if funny, I doubt we can agree on anything.

One final push for my horses.

Well this should make @CanadaMatt3004 very happy.

Very funny, but SNL has to have a lower hit-rate than any other prominent sketch show. Having its head stuffed so far up it’s own ass may be a handicap, but not one that needs to be factored in imo.

Chappelle Show was a miss

Well try making an hour and a half sketch comedy show every other week and see how hard it is to make all bangers. SNL has always been about the highlights and reliving them with friends - even before youtube.

“More cowbell” has been my standard for “you and I will not see eye-to-eye on comedy” since at least college. I suppose Big Bang Theory has largely replaced it in recent years.

You missed where Sports Night is also in my top 10

We always think of the skits, but I’m trying to think of the best opening monologues. Maybe Norm MacDonald hosting after he was fired.

So you can’t lose!!

LOL Cory Treverson. These are great.

Watching SNL with my mom, Michael Che making Colin Yost make a roast beef joke about going downtown on ScarJo. I don’t think my mom got it.

Now watching Die Hard II - forgot to get my naked tai chi in this morning.

Voting for Fawlty Towers (whatever that is. Cleese?) over Roots is like making out during Schindler’s List. Shame!

Chernobyl vs Succession is impossible. Chernobyls better but only what 5 or 6 episodes?

Haven’t watched Chernobyl so I didn’t vote but I don’t understand Succession being elite-tier.

Good acting, clever writing but it’s ultimately a one-note show. I watched all the seasons and certainly found a lot of it entertaining but the outcome of the show was just the entire theme drilled into viewers heads from the first season: that they’re all broken and incapable of happiness.

Maybe I’m being a dickhead but did anyone actually feel invested in the outcome of the final season in a way that is remotely comparable to other elite-tier shows?
