Yeah, that wasn’t the best one, but surely there were enough great ones leading up to it that you could have just overlooked one mid episode and kept watching.
U.P. don’t want no Scrubs
Having enjoyed both shows and all their episodes I think Americans is better.
:wrestler no gif:
In longer form, The Americans was a poorly written show dressed up by some great acting and good production value. You can probably count two full seasons of filler episodes across its entire run. POI was one of the best written shows on TV, even though it was on CBS, the worst network for a show of its kind.
Danielbryanno or Johnnyaceno?
The one who points and yells no
Thats Johnny Ace (John Laurenitas.) Hes an asshole, but the gif is fantastic.
Wait, when you say point do you mean point forward or point upward?
Forward
he’s in the greatest tv shows thread giving his opinion on the greatest tv shows and has never seen breaking bad or better call saul (or trailer park boys!) and quit deadwood halfway through.
But he was also tuned in enough to know the greatness of Benson
I’ve watched Dark like wiper has watched TPB and these S3 ratings seem wild to me. I appreciate the show for satisfactorily wrapping up an incredibly complex plot but they did it by disregarding the narrative pacing and introducing some questionable character motivations in S3. The S3 episodes should be like a full point lower across the board. The show overall is still GOAT tier though. That one reveal in particular should be in the running for the #1 all time TV moment. If there’s one thing I could watch again for the first time it would be that.
The way you know going into it what’s generally going to happen but they still manage to blindside you with the specifics and close the loop on so many subplots and brilliantly reframe the letter all at the same time. So perfect.
Edit: forgot to mention I recommend 3 episodes to get into it. Looks like ep3 is rated pretty high which seems right. Once they start making connections you get a feel for how great the show is going to be. Obviously if you can stick around for 5 that’s also a good one.
Monty Python’s Flying Circus
Modern Family
This is why I’m mostly in the background for this one. I haven’t seen a lot of the nominees and don’t feel it’s fair to vote if I haven’t seen both.
Enjoying the banter though.
Did SNL not get nominated, or did sketch shows not apply?
Must not have been nominated. I accepted sketch shows just like I accepted Jeopardy.
Not nominating SNL seems like a bit of a miss on our parts.
Probs for the best. Would have gotten knocked out round 1 vs Leave it to Beaver.
Hahaha YES!
Not really. It would have had zero chance.
