I hear you. I checked out Dark and just couldn’t get into it. I respect the GOATness though.
Roots is a classic series about overcoming slavery and racism. All in the Family features a crude but loveable bigot.
It was. I was like six or seven when it came out and I remember staying up every night to watch it.

As long as you tried two episodes (ratingraph.com says the first four episodes are the four lowest rated of the series, and I think that’s reasonable, but I don’t think it’s reasonable to tell people to watch five episodes before making up their minds) and watched the German originial, I can’t fault you for it, cheers for trying it out

Yeah, I was a little tike too. Don’t remember too much about it, other than the whipping Kunta Kinte scene, which gave me nightmares for days on end afterward.
