I can see enough details to know that your purchase hasn’t shown up yet, but not a lot of specifics. There seems to be about a 48 hour lag between when a sale happens and when it gets reflected in the reports.
The commission rates range from 0 - 10%, with 4% being the most common.
Keyword search terms can be used for ads instead of listing specific products. They make it a bit easier to create a spot, with the added bonus of being automatically internationalized for our Euro friends and neighbors to the North (but not lolstralians).
Downside is Amazon’s search results usually suck and it can be difficult to come up with words or phrases that yield good results.
I’ve been able to ferret out some additional information on how Amazon credits sales. If you want to support the site while shopping there, this is the best way.
If you see an ad or link here for something you are interested in, or if you’re interested in something similar, or it reminds you of some other unrelated thing you’ve been meaning to buy, click on it.
Immediately add it to your cart. It’s OK if you remove it later, but adding it right away gives us a much longer window to collect a commission on your purchases.
If you have other shopping to do, don’t check out yet. We don’t get any further commissions after the first sale is completed, so it helps us the most to get as much into that first order as you can.
Want to post a quick thanks to the peeps doing the clicking and buying. We’re seeing a steady trickle of commissions roll in now. It does appear that we’re getting credit for additional items bought beyond the specific products advertised, although details are vague on what’s actually being purchased.
Hmm, it won’t show the AKG K371’s as an ad either, but will show the K361’s. I’ve had that happen with a couple other products too. lmk if it’s ok as is (with the K361) or if you want some other change.
I have a demo of it up currently here if you don’t want to wait for it to appear (desktop view only, broken for mobile):
Correct. Trying out a new ad network to see what they can offer. I’ll give it some time to let the crawlers do their crawling and the algorithms to do their algorithming, then see where we’re at.
I actually watched (well, listened because it’s just audio) to the linked video and it’s not nearly as toxic as the headline suggests. Basically it’s pure grift aimed at the olds. Gold buggery and stock tips to save your portfolio when AOC does the Socialisms. I was kinda excited at the future it predicted tbh. Apparently we’re about to go full Mao in 2020 and all the boomers are going to lose their money. Obviously I’m not the intended demographic.
