ACAB (formerly G Floyd) - Tyre Nichols video released, it's bad

LOL. The NBC affiliate’s newscast that I was hoping would provide additional info on this story is crashing and burning badly. The football coverage ended a little earlier than they anticipated I’m sure and the newscast has been a clusterfuck to this point.

Welp…Its a black kid. He was riding on a couple main drags and crashed on North Federal Highway. His name is Stanley Davis Jr. His grandmother says a cop chased him and he crashed. That’s about all I got from the story when they eventually got around to it.

The police chief referring to this as a “taffic homicide” more than once seems interesting. Or is my understanding of the word “homicide” not completely accurate?

Now this is not cool at all, there has got to be better ways to express discontent against law enforcement than killing a fucking puppy.

“Justifiable” homicides are homicides

I understand what you’re saying. Pretty shitty twisting of the definition if police are allowed to “justifiably” murder people. The text book definition is “the deliberate and unlawful killing of one person by another; murder”, and I guess I always just viewed the word as meaning an unlawful murder.

This is one time I’d be okay with cops using excessive force if they ever find that dbag

It’s just a little Light Homicide.

I think down here in Florida they use the word “homicide” in many instances when someone is killed. There is not necessarily evil intent associated with the word. Murder is different obviously. Like if you’re a reporter, in the case of Rittenhouse for example, prior to trial, it would be okay to say Rittenhouse killed two people, but it would not be okay to say he murdered two people.

Yeah assuming the dog was in fact “beheaded”, its way more likely that an angry neighbor killed it than some kind of targeted attack on a cop.

Yeah the story that someone killed it because he was a cop is mega mega sus. It’s like when a white woman turns up dead in her own home in deep suburbia and the husband is mildly beaten up and claims that it was black home invaders. That dude did it right at 100% of the time.

Wildly improbable story = the person telling you the story made it up and did the crime.

Yeah? Well then tie protestors drove the cop to do it.

this is a deep cut

Reading the article the only evidence that the dog killing was because the person was a cop was the cop had their car parked out front. No other evidence yet.

Anytime a bad thing happens to a cop, it’s because he’s a cop. Cop are some of the most discriminated against individuals (only after Christians).

Oh shit. Thx for throwing a little shine on it.

Duh. All cops are Christians.

Four people accused of illegally removing a statue of Edward Colston have been cleared of criminal damage.

Sage Willoughby, 22, Rhian Graham, 30, Milo Ponsford, 26, and Jake Skuse, 33, were charged after a monument to the 17th Century slave trader was pulled down and then thrown into the harbourside in Bristol last June.

It happened during a Black Lives Matter protest in the city.

A jury at Bristol Crown Court found them all not guilty.

During a highly publicised trial, the court heard that the statue was ripped down before being thrown into the harbour during a wave of protests triggered by the murder of African-American George Floyd by a white police officer.
