I think that is a fair point of view although I have done things in recent months/years to de-escalate some of the bigger conflicts and would encourage others to do the same.
I mean, Iâm not going to do this, but one could call every single poster who does not condemn Simplicitus complicit in the transphobia and hypocrites if they think everyone always must voice their opinions about things they ostensibly care about - especially those who have omg criticized Simpâs banning.
No one is forcing you to do anything. People are going to make the conclusions that are reasonably implied by your posts.
You can pretend to be autistic or whatever the fuck you are doing when youâre like âhurr there is no formal logical proof from my post to your conclusionâ and people will draw the reasonable conclusion from that as well.
It just depends on how broad you make the categories. Someone being a massive jerk could very well be worse than someone who makes a mildly racist comment. LIke I dunno, perhaps using an offensive word for a boombox stereo.
Itâs hardly autistic. Nothing I said demonstrates supporting Simpâs ban. Thatâs just crystal clear. And people may reasonably suspect something thatâs wrong, but thatâs not the same as a reasonable conclusion. If you canât understand that, youâre being dumb, not non-autistic.
Motherfucker, the topic of the thread is moderation. People are going to assume your posts are on topic, so when your only contribution to a discussion about a ban of poster X is âposter X is an assholeâ then that is either
(1) off topic personal attack shitposting
(2) support for the ban
People are being charitable to you when they assume (2), but itâs clear at this point what your shtick is here.
Furthermore, if someone makes the âwrongâ but completely reasonable conclusion that you support that ban, you can just state that you donât instead of doing this inane âwell under formal logic my post does not imply support or lack of support for the banâ shit that you apparently think is clever or something.
Well there is also the issue that the topic of this conversation here is the ban, the only thing risky did with respect to the topic is the ban, so that statement âI donât support the ban but I am defending riskyâ is equivalent to âI donât support the ban but I am defending the banâ and if you think about it you might see how that is frustrating and confusing to engage with.
What I was defending at that point was the idea that she could not be objective even though she is intersex and that it was awful for Simp to do things like intentionally misgender her. And, I donât care that I said that in the âAbout Moderationâ thread. If someone is being an asshole like that yes, to someone I like in any thread, I feel absolutely free to tell them they are being an asshole.
I clearly stated it early on and I donât blame proud non-readers for not reading and being proud of it anymore than I blame the scorpion for stinging the frog.
Did I miss something? Reposting someone isnât doxxing, right? There is a delete post option if you want to remove your own posts that you feel are identifying you.
I hope youâll reconsider, grue, although I get the frustration of dealing with the endless harassment. At least keep us updated on the game over at SPE?
