this is a response to the thread about the current mods finding the job intolerable and the community being at risk of dying. mods and posters both can benefit from an independent council to review complaints about moderation. it’s understandable from the user’s perspective that they don’t want the person deciding if a mod action is fair to be that mod who made the decision in the first place. similarly, the mods are put in a position where they’re the police and the courts while they’re workin…

Maybe because things are run here better than almost any other internet community sans a few scuff ups? Most here are completely happy except for those that can’t just calm the fuck down and do something besides complain about the mods.

There is no reason to think that the next mod who stepped into stop any of jal’s personal shots would not become the next target of his mod unfitness campaign. Or who locks a Keeeed thread, or takes action against any of the crew that voted to remove me and that has been carrying on about my unfitness for months now.

wouldn’t it be great to like, have someone else deal with those issues? like, officially? so you can keep the threads readable and just read the threads and post and enjoy the site? and let some other folks handle the part of the job you find unpleasant?
