The recent activity there has all been about the rush you get from buying before or early enough in a quasi-random uptick and hopefully selling before it all collapses in the next few days or hours. It’s pure gambling, and we have seen it wreck lives over on wallstreetbets. One guy there committed suicide because he thought he’d incurred such deep losses.

I haven’t been keeping up with all the threads in the last week so I didn’t see all the context you detail here. Now that you’ve listed it all out, it isn’t hard to understand why you’d be upset and pissed off. I’d be pissed off too.
It would be nice if we could have a forum where posters treat each other with respect and kindness. It would also be nice if we could avoid having posters aim f-bombs at other posters.
Unfortunately, I don’t know how to make that happen, only make things worse, so I’m just going to apologize and bow out.

There are more ads for stock apps and investment vehicles on TV in NA than for gambling firms imo but its close. The gambling ads are mostly slot apps
Gambling > than trading stock is not an indefensible position. But it’s quite a thin position to go around insufferably berating everyone else.
Gambling is capitalism on steroids. Creating winners and losers while giving a cut to the man all purely for the sake of entertainment. And usually in a lavishly wasteful environment to boot.
My friend was in Toyko looking for work, he started at this small restaurant as the suez chef & he’s a decent cook but has a bad gambling habit and new it, it was the reason he was there, to find something away from the tables.
Then the boss of the restaurant one day asks him if he would like to go to the local underground casino and play some cards, boom!! He’s in & after the 1st night he has the charm of a salesperson and talked himself into a job there working the Punto Banko.
And the long story short is, even the man from probably the worst knife crime city in Europe could not handle the scars of working that table seeing all the addicts and left within a few days.
His line was this shit ain’t like the movies.

Jal can probably avoid bans by refraining from profanity and name-calling. If you can attack someone without doing that, you have a better chance of surviving.
