Update about the swastikas on Gavin Newsom Aaron Ford campaign signs in North Las Vegas.
To refresh, driving down Cheyenne in North Las Vegas a while back after dialysis I saw the shocking image of a swastika painted on Newsomâs face on a large campaign sign. A week later, it was still there.
Yesterday, I saw a story the guy was caught and charged with damaging property over $5000 (replacement signs cost a little over $6k). They apparently switched out the signs multiple times and he did it again in the same places every time new signs went up. They decided to turn it into a sting operation maybe using Flock cameras near the two places he was doing this. Like a rat being caught by the Rat Zapper, he couldnât resist the bait of a fresh campaign sign. They got a boat load of hilarious incriminating stuff on him and tracked his car to Primm Valley Casino (lol this place is barely functional) where they found him inside the casino. Itâs a 71 year old white guy with a Duck Dynasty beard.
He didnât exactly deny what he did saying he hated Newsom and something to the effect of, âI wouldnât piss in his mouth if he were on fireâ. He claimed he was going to use the red paint on his very old green van lol.
He also proceeded to use the words Nazi Democrats. Heâll probably be convicted in 5 minutes if he doesnât plead out. They got an astonishing amount of evidence on the dipshit.

US geological survey has since revised its opinion. They upgraded the 4.4 earthquake to a 5.2 and declared it an effect of the landslide rather than a cause. The current lead hypothesis is that a 600m wide 100m+ thick wall of ice broke off the Langtang glacier and tumbled into the valley 1.2km below.

If you look at the primary direction the landslide comes from when it hits the customs building you can see it comes from the east. The customs building is about 14km westwards and downstream of where the glacial track meets the river valley. A further 5km to where the break seems to have occurred. To my untrained eye it looks like some of the mountain also collapsed.
USGC registered a tremor at 10:52 am Chinese time. The customs house was hit at 10:59. This thing travelled between 14 and 20km in 7 minutes depending on whether the tremor was caused by the initial collapse or it slamming into the valley floor.

Seeing this becoming the consensus now. If true it seems like the deaths from this are very directly related to climate change rather than the whole has climate change made the weather worse type analysis you see with some other disasters. I imagine we see more and more of this kind of stuff as time passes unfortuantely.
Glaciers are always going to calve off in chunks. The question is is this one bigger than anyone can remember.
