2026 Elections (If We Still Have Them)

By a 63%-31% margin, residents here oppose tariffs on Canadian goods, according to a June Epic-MRA poll, including 35% of Republicans. Meanwhile, nearly 75% of Michiganders said the tariffs are fueling high prices.

Trump doubling down on an unpopular policy deep into election season is viewed by many observers as a gift to Democrats, and there is a real possibility that it contributes to a midterm loss for the Republicans. Meanwhile, there seems to be little upside for Trump.

“I don’t understand what Trump is thinking,” the Epic-MRA pollster Bernie Porn said.

Regardless, Michiganders have already suffered disproportionately as they pay on average over $3,200 annually for tariffs, or about 142% more than the rest of the country, because of the state’s shared border with Canada.

Trump doesn’t understand what Trump is thinking, don’t take it too hard guy with clearly made up name.

Why are t-shirt logos and stuff so often reversed in videos?

If people are using their front camera instead of rear camera, it flips the image so that the person is seeing the same as what they see in the mirror, because it can be jarring to our brains which have sort of “burned in” what we see in the mirror as our face. And our faces are not as symmetrical as we imagine. And of course haircuts or the hair parts can be asymmetrical. Or, when you’re moving, you want the motion to make sense to you. If you move your right arm, you want the arm on the right side of the screen to be what’s moving. Like a mirror.

The other reason is people sometimes believe that flipping helps avoid a copyright strike when re-posting clips.

Thanks for that explanation! Guess these people don’t have friends who can hold a phone camera.

yeah I don’t generally put a lot of credence in the “embarassed voter” theory of polls but in this case I 100% believe it. they all know paxton is an odious walking bag of diarrhea but when they get in that booth they’re gonna pull the lever for him with zero hesitation.

They seriously don’t know him from a hole in the wall and a lot of Cornyn voters hate him.

if they don’t know him they’re DEFINITELY pulling the lever, and the Cornyn voters are all gonna roll over just like Cornyn did

They’re gonna know him real well in foosball season and a lot will probably leave his race blank.

You cannot comprehend how bad a candidate Paxton is.

roy moore was way worse, they literally had the goods on him picking up teenagers at the mall, and he lost by a hair. paxton is bad but not that bad.

I think Tal has a shot, but there’s no way he wins by more than 1%

Any chance Ramaswampy loses in Ohio? Indian hate seems to be trending in the MAGA sphere.

Not happening. Brown might steal the senate seat back, but the governorship isn’t happening. Acton has too much baggage from covid, unfair, but real nonetheless. It’s a shame because Vivek is another absolutely terrible candidate.

oklahoma came about 2000 votes from having a moderate-ish governor. instead getting a trump crazy. apparently the margin ran the highest in southeast oklahoma which ISN’T in the oklahoma TV market but the Shreveport tv market, so the thought is the trump endorsement carried more weight where the people weren’t exposed to as many TV ads.

Doug Jones is way worse at turnout than Talarico, and Texas is way purpler than Alabama.

There’s a chance, but I’m not optimistic about it.
