2025 LC Thread

Let’s back it up a bit. Why is a guy who doesn’t even play poker looking at anything on 22?

I stopped playing poker in like 2010 and never did it seriously at all, just some casual live play and donking on party/stars/FTP. I got hooked on the offtopic forums really early in my browsing days and they kept me.

That amount of poker sounds like a lot more than Krayz, tho.

You could solve all your problems probably paying for extra storage with MS one drive. I think they have a plan that covers multiple systems. Then you don’t have to worry about manually syncing stuff.

Personally I use Google drive for making sure the important stuff stays safe.

The UPS Store is the unhappiest place on earth. Employees, customers, everybody.

There’s a pub in my area I really like that’s cash-only.

And I guess the occasional potraviny is still cash-only as well.

Come to the South Bay. It’s all smiles and joy down here.

I think this is easily where we’re going to end up: a onedrive family plan where my wife’s account will hold some of the files, my account will hold some files, and we’ll share all files with each other.

Yuck. Now looks like we may have lost pictures from the 2 trips to Europe we took.

Back up your data!

New Orleans projected for 3-6" is wild, do they ever get any?

I’m sure but I can’t remember a specific time.

I grew up in south AL and every 6-10 years we would see a bit. Twice growing up we got enough to build a snowman. But it’s not at all common

I was in new orleans about 10-15 years ago visiting the inlaws and they got maybe 1/4" and people were going insane. you literally could not get in or out of the city (literally every way out is a bridge of some sort, all were shut down), the kids (who literally had never seen snow in person ever) were trying their best to make snowmen (this was really sad, the best one I saw was maybe 5 inches tall). Mass hysteria.

One of my work colleagues had surgery scheduled for Wednesday and they cancelled it already due to the snow coming. If they did that where I live there be no surgery. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes lol but remember these places are like 300 mi south of the nearest snow plow

Everyone I know from back home is either wfh or off altogether the next two days at least

Oh ya for sure. Plus everyone is driving on summer tires. I’m guessing it will be chaos.

This is a pic I took a couple years ago in downtown Portland after like 2 cm of snow. This will only be funny to people who live in snow climates.

There was a good Winter storm in 2014 when I lived in Panama City Beach. It is technically an island connected to the mainland via 3 bridges. The bridges completely froze over and they were shutdown, nobody in or out but you could still drive around if you were willing to share the roads with other Florida people in those conditions. I think I still did a little WFH back then, but it was basically just an off day.

Ah cool where did you live? I lived down there in the mid 90s for a couple years. Not sure what the condo building was called, but it was right on Grand Lagoon on Thomas Dr, across the street from the Treasure Ship before it burned and across the bridge from Capt. Anderson’s

Off North Lagoon, kinda close to the golf course and Club La Vela/Spinnaker part of the beach. I bet it was a lot different from mid 90s to the mid 2010s when I was there. I was actually just checking it out on Zillow, and the 2 br, 2 bath apartment that I rented in 2016 for $775 is now renting for over $1500!

It was 2014. I know this because I had exams postponed for three days. Costco was totally empty. I was befuddled the entire time.
