I think I must run like the sun because I think that every single Catholic and Mormon that I know (we’re talking like 10 people here, so not a ton) is so obviously anti-Trump, that I don’t even need to ask.

Damn, you’re lucky. I wouldn’t choose to hang out with anyone devoutly religious, so the ones I know are all cousins/aunts/uncles. Even if you select only for cousins who are Catholic (so aged like 30-55), I’d say 90% (of a sample of 45) will vote for Trump. This is in Nebraska, even split between Omaha/Lincoln/rural.
Turns out my neighborhood was +45 Trump even though it was in NYC. Yikes.

I will be doing a personal PLAY BY PLAY of the Debate tomorrow between the Brilliant J.D. Vance and the Highly Inarticulate “Tampon” Tim Walz. It really is.
There’s a sign in my deep red neighborhood at one of the intersections. It’s right about at window level, so it has a lot of stickers on the back. For almost a year, every few weeks, a Trump 2024 sticker appears on the back of the sign. And for almost a year, every few weeks, a day or two later, that sticker is gone, torn off by some unsung hero, a blue dot in a sea of red.
I’m pretty sure we’re on the 7th or 8th iteration of this cycle. It is glorious and gives me a little thrill every time I see it happen.
