Harris +1.7 with independents vs. Biden +9 in 2020 seems worriesome.
If black voters are +20% for Trump in 2024 as compared to 2020 then we are toast, right?
Its possible there are gains in other areas to offset this.
Yeah, these are still crosstabs of overall results that tend to show Harris to be in decent shape; they’re not separate and independent findings that would suggest that maybe she’s getting crushed. It just seems to reflect that there have been demographic shifts in both good and bad directions.
That’s a sizable increase in a very small number of people, even if the polling is accurate.
I just love how every news organization treats their own polls as hard numbers.
Do they note that it’s an outlier among all the national polls?
(I’m not saying they are necessarily wrong, but it is intellectually dishonest to treat any poll as fact).
The overall picture remains that Harris is up nationally and by enough that there can be real confidence.
But of course it comes down to swing states in the EC. which is where the sweat is. Toss-up is a good description.
