The couch thing is great disinformation because it’s perfectly plausible that JD Vance would have done that, and there are memoirs that talk about that type of embarrassing stuff. The Walz one fails because it’s so obviously fake.

Ive heard two explanations. 1) it was made up by a guy who thought including it in Hilbilly Elegy was funny. And 2)It was in a first draft of Hillbill Elegy but ultimately removed after the first version.
It’s a Photoshop of a pic of him showing a beer he was drinking. Based one what he’s wearing and the look on his face, I’m guessing he lost a football bet with Whitmer or something.

I thought his story was that he quit drinking altogether after his DUI and hasn’t drank anything since. Which obviously he could fudge on, but he wouldn’t plainly advertise it. Guessing it’s something non-alcoholic.

Dunno if this was true in every elementary school and for what times, but when I was in elementary school it was widely believed that Rod Stewart had his stomach pumped because of semen. It was the main thing people “knew” about Rod Stewart.
