Yea I don’t know why but it has to be intentional because the original graph as the source at the bottom of the graph
I really don’t think an apostrophe is necessary. Sometimes you gotta assume your readers are not absolute morons.

Tim Walz allegedly told high school football player struggling with crime and alcohol to keep playing
Walz allegedly told the teenager, ‘We need you,’ repeatedly
Former Mankato West linebacker Dan Clement told The Ringer that he began to experiment with alcohol when he was in high school. Then, the summer between his junior and senior year, Clement said he was arrested multiple times for underage drinking. Clement had a suspension from football to begin his final high school season and said he decided “I’m just not going to play at all.”
But Clement said Walz repeatedly approached him in the hallways that year and told the teenager, “We need you.”
“He knew I was struggling,” Clement told the outlet, adding that Walz told him, “I don’t care about that other stuff.”

Clement said, after Walz’s intervention, that he eventually returned to the team for the second half of the season.
However, Clement said he did not get sober until a full decade after Walz pushed him to return to the field for his final season, The Ringer reported. Still, Clement thanked Walz for his impact on his life.
“The caring attention he gave, that positive support can pull you through really dark times in your life,” Clement said, adding that he told Walz, "I’m leaning on you. I’m trusting you here. I think partying is a better idea. You don’t think so. And I’m going to trust you on that.’
“And he was right. I was wrong. And later in life, when I continued to do that, when I continued to trust other people who love me, then it led my life in this beautiful direction. Just like it did back then.”
struggling with crime
This. He is not watching her interviews. At best he has seen a few out of context/edited short clips.
I’m not a political numbers guy, but over half the country disapproves of Trump. He has yet to win the popular vote. Wouldn’t common sense say that high voter turnout would be bad for him?
as in, he wasn’t good enough at doing crimes?
Fox is masterful at making a positive article look like a hit piece. Adding “allegedly” is chef’s kiss.
Kid still has issues if he is still blaming someone else for his drinking problems after he is sober. I imagine the idea of staying in a structured situation like high school football is considered the right thing to do for kids spiraling out of control instead of them just running around doing whatever they want like crimes and drinks.
I mean it isn’t like he was sexually assaulted digitally in a department store.
The kid is thanking Walz though!
Wow, I must have stopped reading half way through…
That’s what Fox News is banking on. Frame the headline and byline as a negative attack on Walz, and know that 70% of people who see it won’t actually try to understand the story.
Classic case of both sides running the same ad, one mocking him for showing love toward a user and criminal; the other applauding him. The punchline is which group claims to be the party of Jesus.
And yet, stonks.
Yeah, I know there were some good tech earnings beats yesterday after the close, and maybe the market is hoping for some more rate cuts if job #'s continue to be poor and inflation is around 2%.
My process: choose public defenders over prosecutors. When both candidates are the same, choose the minority. If still the same, choose the woman. If STILL the same dig into the research.
In my jurisdiction judge elections are always like “vote for four” with only four candidates
I just voted the judges that were listed as Democrats.
I don’t think they necessarily were since some had their name listed twice, once as Dem and again as GOP, but I just stuck Dems the whole way. I mean I’m pretty far away to worry about local judges in America lol
Also learned today that my ballot was received and counted. Took two weeks for it to arrive in America from abroad which is actually shorter than I expected.
I just watched the latest installment of Jordan Klepper going to MAGA rallies, and he talked about this at the end of the episode. He said it feels to him like people are going through the motions now. It’s no longer fresh. More like an obligation.
I do think there’s a chance that mild Trump supporters stay home and Kamala wins easily. I wouldn’t bet on it, but that’s a story that makes sense to me.
