Oh yeah, they would never shit all over the Constitution. Never happened in our lifetimes, not once. Oh except for Bush v Gore, Citizens United v FEC, Shelby County v Holder, Heller v DC, and on and on and on. And all of those decisions were handed down before the court turned even harder to the right. Itâs okay that you didnât see it coming; a lot of people who donât follow the court or understand its history probably didnât but lol at projecting that ignorance onto everyone else.

You might remember James Comey who investigated the Clinton email scandal and the Clinton Foundation, and made the final decision to not recommend prosecution by the DOJ.
It turns out that the Clinton Foundation was audited by the law firm DLA Piper. One of the executives there was in charge of the Clinton Foundation audit. Who was it? Peter Comey, James Comeyâs brother.
Peter Comey held an executive position with the Washington law firm that did the audit of the Clinton foundation in 2015.
Peter Comey was officially DLA Piper âSenior Director of Real Estate Operations for the Americas,â in 2015 when the Clinton Foundation scandals first broke and Hillary was preparing her Presidential campaign.
Not only was DLA Piper, the firm where Comeyâs brother worked involved in the audit of the Clinton Foundation, but according to the foundationâs donor records, DLA Piper has given between $50 - 100k to the Foundation.

I wish people would stop saying this. Kemp will play ball under the right circumstances. 2020 was a terrible situation, zero electoral or procedural irregularities even alleged, looked likely GA wasnât even going to be the tipping point state at the time (if Georgia were going blue, thereâs no way the other swing states werenât). He and Rafs had spent years bragging about how secure GAâs elections were.
2024, different ballgame. Rules have been in flux very publicly, and county level republicans have been sowing doubt for years. Theyâre foaming at the mouth to contrive some irregularities. They learned from last time around: you canât have a squeaky clean election process.

Kemp has had a lot of success with his brand of being a âreasonable no-nonsense Republicanâ. I think he assumes heâs well positioned for a post-Trump GOP.
Yeah, I think Kemp can easily take Ossoffâs Senate seat in 2 years if he wants it.
They have a fantasy that the status quo is deep swamp liberals stealing their money that they earned with hard work and gumption. In fantasyland they imagine that when that is disrupted they will be even more well off and can enjoy looking down at poor people who will finally suffer as they deserve.

My old boss is doing just fine. We all worked from home well before covid and I had about 1 hour worth of work to do a day. I suspect he was more than that, but not a ton. He spent his free time remodeling his house in Illinois. Iâm sure he has absolutely killed it in stonks the last 4 years.

I agree. Ossoff and Warnock are very good Senators (who had âGeorgia produces two excellent Democratic Senatorsâ on their bingo card?), but they won really close elections against two of the WOAT candidates.
Kemp sucks, obviously, but he does present as reasonable. Heâll get the vast majority of the MAGA votes and all of the never-Trump Republican votes.
And thereâs not a ton Dems can point at to show that Kemp has been a disaster as governor. The biggest thing off the top of my head might be disappearing rural hospitals, but I just donât think thatâs going to register for most people.
