My wife makes a steamed dish out of ground pork, seasonings, straw mushrooms, and bamboo shoots. Might have watercress too. Pretty good over white rice.
ETA-definitely has chinese sausage in it too.

Pork burgers are excellent. But you do need enough fat or they get dry.
Great with sweet sauces. Sweet chilli, mango chutney, caramelized onion chutney, things like that.
People were poor. In the past and in some developing countries today, meat is only when you have money.

ground pork is underrated. i prefer it to beef.
We cook with a lot of ground pork but not in burger form. We use it in sauces for example, or season it as a topping on noodles or in tacos.
