Also to add on to this we have morons like Ikes who are dumb enough to think Kamala lost because she was “too far left”. The Democrats treat the progressive wing of the party like a rebel faction who needs to be eliminated rather than being valued party members. So of course you have people like Bernie and AOC, who Democrats have labeled communists and fear mongered about Bernie’s brownshirts, running a percentage point or two behind Kamala. Probably a huge chunk of Dems voted for their opponent or didn’t vote at all. The fact they can run so close while being completely shut off from party resources proves the opposite of their policies being unpopular.

EDems actually think they are better than everyone else. Morally and intellectually superior. For many of them they have made it into their entire personality. They don’t just punch down. They punch in all directions. Look at how they treat the progressive wing of the party.

Mark Cuban nailed the appropriate analogy. Trump was clearly very good at talking his way into getting laid and translated that skill into talking the American people into letting him f them. Bill Clinton was also obviously excellent at that too. This skill is obviously largely independent of ideology though.
