2023 NFL Gameday Thread: SUPER refBOWL!

Lol the grass fire is literally in the shape of a C? Need a Bayesian estimate on foul play.

Probably some dipshit fans dumped hot charcoal on the hillside.

I thought you hated trash talk?

There’s a big difference between starting it and finishing it. Most teams today don’t act like the Bengals did leading up to that game. If you lose you have to pay the piper.

Lol no there isn’t. Trash talking in sports is like dogs barking at each other. You’re analyzing random animal noises framed and served to you by yellow journalism hacks trolling for clicks.

Nah

I like you suzzer but man, lol not admitting that wasn’t some complete refball

I’ve said there was refball and we were the net beneficiary. I’d be shocked if a Torbert game didn’t have refball. But some of the plays people are flipping out about seem silly to me.

I’m seeing a ton of RIGGED posts on twitter with screenshots of supposed holding plays that aren’t holding at all. You can always pull dozens of screenshots from the game that look like holding. Basically whenever the defender pulls a rip move, it looks like holding in the screenshot.

But then you run the video and have someone who knows what they’re talking about look at it, and it’s not holding.

And the winning team’s fans don’t bother tweeting out screenshots of holding against their d-line after the game - because they don’t care. During the game, Chiefsplanet was complaining about the Bengals holding like crazy.

The play everyone should be flipping out about imo is the overturn on the Reid challenge where MVS pulled the ball back. I still don’t understand why they ruled that a 1st down, since he pulled the ball back on his own volition.

I was watching with people who don’t really know the deeper rules of the game and basically made an idiot of myself telling them there was a 0% chance that would be overturned.

Ok just watched it again, I guess he got lucky and his knee went down while he had it mostly extended. But not 100%, and it wasn’t even clear he reached the line to gain at 100% extension.

Oh yeah, and we get to go up against Carl Fucking Cheffers in the Superbowl, the ref who’s thrown the most penalties in the league two years running. So get ready for maximum refball turned up to 11 in the SB. League loves this shit.

Good god, your last two replies now have me rooting for the Eagles. I might now have to not watch the super bowl

I literally copped to refball and even admitted to a big one that no one was talking about. Did you actually read what I posted?

Right now I am rooting for the Chiefs to release a cryptocurrency.

After sleeping on it and taking time to cool off I am…even more mad than I was last night.

Endless flags on Bengals bad enough but we’ve entered a new realm of riggage now that NY can literally just do a Vince McMahon rigfest remotely with zero accountability.

You changed your mind on this, right?

Grunching but has that call from the Titans/Chefs game from a million years ago been brought up yet? Seems relevant to the discussion.
