Heavy flow is a defined as having to change a regular absorbency tampon in less than an hour. Of course, that’s based on the testing using saline and water.
I had been using Ultra absorbency since I was a teenager. They lasted 3 hours max.
Switched to a cup about 5 years ago and I’m mad I didn’t know about them before. 10-12 hours. Boom.
Also, if anyone thinks this info is TMI, that’s exactly the problem.

Yeah, I’m fortunate enough to be both super regular and have a relatively light flow. Some exes have been less fortunate and even I’ve kinda wanted to disassociate from the whole situation, so I totally understand why cis dudes wouldn’t want to study up on it (even though they should learn the basics)
I mean, let’s be 100% honest, and I know I’m not supposed to say this, but my heavy flow is gross.
I don’t blame people for not wanting to disclose that the toilet (and often their clothes and legs and hands) looks like a literal murder scene every few hours for a few days a month. I mean, I get it. I also get that thinking it’s gross is deep, deep, DEEP-seeded social conditioning that will probably never be uprooted.
I guess I feel slightly less crazy that I could burn through tampons like I did…no fucking wonder. it sure would have been nice to not have to always worry about a potential gusher happening in the middle of class, or the gym, or in a meeting.
Literally never heard of this before. 
Small town living seems kind of fun if you are the judge or are cool with judge.
It’s ok, neither have a lot of women, unfortunately. And a lot of those that have are scared to try it because education about our reproductive systems is abysmal.

I’m flying from Vegas, so…it looks problematic.
Yeah, might rent a car instead…still won’t be fun but you’d get there at least
My problem is I’m meeting someone who is flying in from another place and can’t drive in.
Main ac goes out on hottest day of year here in d/fw. Cool cool.

That could potentially be worse. The models I’ve seen show the storm taking the desert route. If heavy rains make it to the 15 I could see it getting totally blocked.
