Missed opportunity
Really what is the point of a library in 2023? You guys collecting thousands of hardbacks? Libraries are about showing off books you want people to think you’ve read, not about reading book books.
A gym is the easiest room to create just put some weights, rubber mats and mirrors in your basement, you don’t need the genie lamp to create it for you.
Game room is alright for boys nights, I used to have a room with a pool table when I was a bachelor but I’ve come to the conclusion that I’d rather just have a PS5 in the movie theater
@LFS @microbet other Los Amgelinos, complete this sentence:
“The most annoying/hated city/neighborhood in LA is _________”
Belair? Beverly Hills? Other?
Thin annoying/hated in the same way the world hates the US, the US hates California, and California hates LA.
C + F ainec!
The rest can be accomplished in anybody’s house!
Manhattan Beach?
Dunno. It’s different haters, but
Beverly Hills
Venice/Santa Monica
Some place in OC, like Huntington Beach
Each have their detractors
I like accumulating books, and I’m already running out of space. I had to put a lot of them in the basement.
Gym and jacuzzi to help with my degenerative back issues
Why though? How many books are you reading over and over again? There’s reason to have a shelf or two of favorites or reference books or career relevant things but mostly they’re like trophies IMO.
I just can’t imagine going into a library I own and grabbing a random book that I’ve already read off the shelf to browse a couple of chapters, or buying a bunch of books I’m not ready to immediately read so I have a library of stuff I might choose to read some day. Each idea is crazy to me. But if not those two things what is the home library for
lol at 60% gym. like 3 of you mfers are actually working out in there and for everyone else it’s gonna be your “office/laundry” room inside of 2 weeks.
Why do people collect things? Freaks imo
Yeah it’s Beverly Hills for sure.
But my personal list would be: Palisades, Larchmont, that stretch of boutiques on Montana in SM.
San Marino would be better to live in than BH, but it can pretty much eff off.
Santa Clarita is one of the worst in other ways.
Irvine annoys me.
Rolling Hills - actual gated incorporated city
It goes without saying that the OC is terrible.
Most of the time I hear people bitching about neighborhoods these days it’s because of hordes of homeless, like koreatown or Venice.
Among the NextDoor crowd I think Venice wins in a landslide.
People in SF think we hate them, but we’re way too busy hating each other and ourselves.
Hey, Santa Clarita is nice. Is the Cowgirl bar and truck stop still there? If not, I take back my statement.
Ok my bad, that was more like Castaic, and it’s the Country Girl Saloon, and it seems to still be there
SF pathologically hates LA.
