2023 Israel Conflict - Ground Forces Enter Gaza

To be fair, I don’t think anyone said there are no dead babies.

It’s interesting because from the American perspective it was basically just more of the same and mostly meaningless to us. What else was he going to say? Glad to hear it meant a lot to you, though.

Not here at UP. Probably some people out there in the jungle of the internet have said so. The point being made here is that we should exercise good social media literacy practices during emotionally charged times like this, but emotionally charged times are precisely when people abandon their good practices. But people all around the world are justifiably HOT now.

A good Friedman article?

Netanyahu should be in jail, imo. To be clear, Israelis themselves should want him locked up.

My fantasy is something closer to Munich. Assasinations or captures of every Hamas leader in Gaza, Egypt, Qatar, Turkey or wherever they are hiding. Same as hunting down Nazis in south america. We know the majority of them are long gone from Gaza anyhow.

Imagine if Trump was still in office. Biden said what needed to be said to reaffirm that the US is an ally to Israel.

Isn’t trump super pro Israel?

If a free and fair election, w/o the threat of violence or intimidation by Hamas, were held today, what % of Gazans do you think would vote for them?

My half baked opinion is if an embedded dictatorial regime w/ no limits on the use of violence has true support from at least 30% of the population then it’s really, really hard to get rid of them.

It’s not about being “pro israel”. These words are so meaningless. It’s about compassion, empathy and assurance. No one wants to hear an out of control buffoon screams incoherently. We heard a loud and clear message, an emotional one. I get it’s all politics and lobbies and whatever, but it meant a lot. Not to me personally, even though even my cynical mind was relieved hearing it, but to the general population.

The comments were so impressed that Netanyahu posted fake photos of him “briefing” biden for the speech. Like totally fake as he wasn’t even using a secured phone in the picture.

Trump is an imbecile. He would instinctively hate Palestinians because he’s racist, and he would see Israel as an ally that might let him build a golf course or something.

It’s potentially a wedge issue for Republicans that could divide the traditional Israel hawks on the right from the MAGA chuds who think Soros is putting 5G nanobots in vaccines.

20 drones from Lebanon deep in Israel territory. Things are bad :(

My advice to worry less about saving money for the future and do the things you want to do in your life now because the future is looking especially bleak at the moment.

idf ordered anyone from Haifa and north to stay in shelter.

The message should be to call for peace and restraint, distinguishing between the people of Gaza and the terrorists Hamas.

I really didn’t have far left liberals embracing terrorism/Jihad on my Bingo card.

At New York University School of Law, the president of the student bar association drew swift rebuke Tuesday after writing in the association’s newsletter to “not condemn Palestinian resistance.”

“This week, I want to express, first and foremost, my unwavering and absolute solidarity with Palestinians in their resistance against oppression toward liberation and self-determination,” Ryna Workman wrote in a newsletter message. “Israel bears full responsibility for this tremendous loss of life.”

Israel has not even given NGOs time to evacuate?

At least 11 employees working with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) have been killed in Gaza airstrikes since Saturday.

“I am very saddened to confirm that 11 UNRWA colleagues have been killed since 7 October in the Gaza Strip,” Jenifer Austin, the deputy director of UNRWA Affairs Gaza, said in a statement on Wednesday.
“They included five teachers at UNRWA schools, one gynecologist, one engineer, one psychological counselor and three support staff. Some were killed in their homes with their families,” Austin added.
