why are they doing this as a role call instead of pressing buttons? are the buttons just set up for yes/no?

I wonder if it would be worth for the Ds to request a vote on switching to a plurality. The benefit is Jefferies might become speaker, the risk is it lets the GOP off the hook if the Freedom Caucus caves. Gaetz apparently threatened to do that.
