Tony Gonzales is the first R to come out against the rules package. Prominent Moderate Fitzpatrick says he is a yes and expects passage.

Thatās been a long term right wing wonk dream. The Chicago school helped Pinochet put in the Chilean constitution that tax raises had to pass two consecutive sessions of congress to go into effect while tax decreases could pass normally. I think some ALEC legislation had something similar and thereās been some playing around with passing whatās in the house rules, that tax increases need super majorities while tax decreases just need majorities
