Apparently one part of McCarthy deal is defense spending has to stay flat for 2022. That should be fun for the GOP caucus.

Suddenly got very quiet.
I heard something about 4 Rs (all McCarthy votes) having to miss today to deal with family issues. If true then today I believe he can only lose 2 and still get there.

The anti defense to Ukraine cacusus; the pro Putin, anti USA, anti Western Democracy, traitor cacusus, will no doubt use this as some sort of, we need to pay for our own defense we canāt afford to fund Ukraine, yada, yada yada bullshit. When what we have spent so far, about 5% of our annual defense spending, has decimated Russian defense and put Putin in his weakest position since assuming control of Russia.
Itās an incredible value for the money and the benefit is to literally the entire world. And all while a US soldier hasnāt fired one bullet. These guys are either incredibly stupid, or dead in the tank for Putin. Fucking traitors man, not just to the US but to Western Democracy and the entire world.

This is going to be an absolutely excruciating two years. The inmates fully control the asylum.
At some point, wearing sneakers with suits seems to have become acceptable, but I donāt know when. Maybe itās just for Congressmen who are used to being filmed from the waist up, the same way I can wear pajama bottoms on zoom meetings.
I donāt spend any time around people who wear suits. Everyone does it? When I lived in a big city ten years ago, it didnāt seem common.
