Federal, probably. I’d bet there are worse people in a statehouse somewhere, though.
Gaetz would be a McCarthy Republican in my state house. Hell, Biggs was the literal adult in the room in the state senate here.
McCarthy losing votes because one of his supporters had a medical appointment. Sad!
I wonder what effect this shitshow has on 2024. Maybe DeSantis becomes the stabilizing force that Biden was in 2020.

The house rules and committee assignments are going to be crazy. In any event, my money would be on Scalise or some option other than McCarthy.
