Yea they did get a semi win in the Obama debt ceiling with some spending cuts because Obama thought if he put a gun to the Republican and Democrats heads the Republicans wouldnât shoot. I doubt, or at least hope, Biden isnât dumb enough to try and make some âyou give a little and I give a littleâ type of compromise that isnât going to work.
Bidenâs pretty high on his own supply of compromise though. He spent all day yesterday high-fiving with Cocaine Mitch in Kentucky. Heâs happy to contrast functioning government through compromise with McCarthyâs dysfunction.
I guess this doesnât really work since the leopards are not just tempted by McCarthyâs face but are in fact already digesting it and pooping it out.

Yea thatâs what I worry about. Bidenâs compromises with Republicans have been net positive so far, but Obamaâs compromise of 'weâll cut spending, prolonging a recession, if you donât tank the economy" was a net negative. Hopefully Biden does a good job of differentiating between when itâs good and when he needs to walk away.
