well, I can’t imagine phil is good at O8 so you don’t have to worry about that one
Isn’t that field like 80 people though?
134 players last year. Hellmuth finished 5th.
Yeah… Ballys/Paris is going to be pozzing people left and right like a covid bomb went off.
LOLdonkaments
this is something im not only capable of doing I’m highly likely to do it
I once bought my wife a coffee mug at Voodoo donuts while on work trip in Portland. I spent 5 days between there, the middle of nowhere, and finally Seattle. I left that mug at 2 restaurants and the rental car place. Each time someone came and ran outside yelling “sir, you forgot this!” Good people. This mug was like like $45 and huge. Why I had the mug in these places isn’t really relevant and boring so don’t ask.
Story time over.
I’ve lost insanely valuable things in vegas so many times (the trendier downtown areas) and my return rate is on par with places like Disneyland, it’s so bizarre. Other casinos in CA I’ve been literally pickpocketed more than once, but Vegas for whatever reason always feels fairly safe for the drunken fool if you’re in the right places.
I typically avoid Vegas during WSOP though… this is gonna be a new experience for me.
anyone can give a list of hotel suggestions? restaurants? Last time I did something like this, I had a bunch of good recs but everything was booked to hell by the time I got there.
still figuring out logistics w my stupid cat but im like 95% to play the $1500 HORSE next week, i never played one of these and dont know what to expect
I think there is still a bit of weariness about travelling, I don’t expect youll run into much problem with solid bookings right now.
I had a sick deal at the Cosmo for 3 free nights in the middle of the week. It was a rewards offer though. My buddy is staying at PH for $100 a night.
Good luck. Mixed tourneys are so much better than HE. Look for the people who look lost in the stud games and hammer them in razz.
thanks, yea razz is my best game in mixed and ive taken down a few similarly sized horse tournaments before, that always works. people are impossibly bad at razz
Its shocking to me how confidently people will push with like a 10 or a 9. Its like “No face cards, raise raise raise raise raise.”
yea me making a crying call w a really weak 8 and then seeing a T like
or the fact the stud round comes right after razz and people very obviously forget especially after they get tired, that shit’s hilarious but i have no idea how that dynamic plays out live
Hotel-wise, it’s a question of if you want to just stay within walking distance or if you want to drive in (and do you want to pay for parking in two places).
In terms of restaurants, I have plenty of advice except for high-end stuff. Give me an idea of likes and dislikes and I can find something.
