I guess that pretty much rules out playing tomorrow
Man, as a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan, I swear the universe beta tests all of the shitty things that can happen on us. Sitting in my living room with my family who is in town for the holiday and it’s just spooky silence for the last couple hours. Need to find a break to change out of the zubaz shorts I got for Christmas, which no longer feel appropriate.
Also, the “get ready to play in 5 minutes” thing and it being announced on TV is the nut-low PR.
I hope Goodell tries to take picks away from Buffalo for leaving and the backlash ends up fucking him instead.
That’s good. I am sure people want to be with their families.
Do teams usually fly in the night before for a game?
Toy drive at 905k now. Hopefully he pulls through so he can see it and make use of it.
I think they usually fly in early enough to get in a walk-through the day before.
Goodell is firmly in “I’d like to see him wriggle his way out of this jam” territory. Don’t think anything sinks him.
I would think so, but I don’t know. Also probably different for a night game.
What sportsbook is this?
Betonline, got taken down though now
If the coaches hadn’t refused to play the game would be happening right now
The players probably would have refused to play even if the coaches told them to.
Especially, Buffalo.
This. 5 minute break should have been enough.
Wussificafion of the NFL.
Yea those players were distraught. They weren’t just going to wipe away their tears and go back to playing. It’s a disgrace that Goodell tried to get them to resume the game.
Thing is if the game is ruled a no contest, then nobody gets paid and the NFLPA would almost certainly file a grievance with the NFL on behalf of the players. Advertisers would be pissed. ESPN would be pissed. This of course would piss off the NFL. They have every single incentive in the world to force this game to happen tomorrow. If they have to threaten the BIlls to get them to fly back to Cincinnati, I don’t doubt that they’ll do it.
Every contract they make is based on the condition that all games will be played and I doubt an injury is going to be considered an act of God exception of some kind.
Our 22 yr old daughter went into cardiac arrest in October due to a preexisting heart condition. This whole thing has been surreal, almost making me go through it again. She was being worked on for what felt like an eternity by the paramedics, taken to the ICU and then intubated. Was 2-3 hrs before a Cardiologist and ER dr talked to us and basically said, “now we wait”. They woke her up 3 days later, transferred her the next day to a different hospital, did surgery to fix her heart condition on day 5, and sent her home on day 6. Happy to report she’s doing great and the doctors believe she’s all fixed up. She’s been back to work for 6 weeks and pretty much 100 percent. We were told a few times throughout “it’s good to be young”. Hopefully that is the case for this young man.
Looks like that gofundme is gonna pass $1 million soonish
