So awesome. Glad she is doing well.

I consider myself pretty cynical about the NFL, but I truly cannot believe the original plan was “take five”.

Burrow was literally warming up on national tv. Of course it was.

Cincy coach proactively stopped it. But i bet others would have also.

Apparently Tee Higgins’ dad passed away from cardiac arrest a couple of months ago.

I suppose the most analogous situation is when Hank Gathers collapsed during a WCC tournament semifinal. The game was suspended soon after he was taken to the hospital. That night, the conference cancelled the tournament and gave the automatic bid to regular season champs Loyola Marymount.

If they cancel this game or declare it a tie, it doesn’t affect any team making the playoffs if my understanding is correct. It takes away Cincinnati’s small hope at the #1 seed. It clinches the division for Cincy and locks Baltimore into being the wild card. It takes away one unlikely path (Bills lose out, Bengals lose to Ravens) for KC to get the #1 seed.

It looks significant, but it actually doesn’t mess up that much if there is no game.

Hospital now says won’t be a press conference tonight.

I don’t think that’s right. If the game is a tie, then KC clinches the #1 next week with a win.

I wonder what HIPAA has to say about situations like these

This is the nfl I know

If the game is a tie, it removes the scenario where the Chiefs get the one seed if they lose next week, but so do the Bengals after beating the Bills this week.

Skip apologized for something sort of. Has to be a first.

I see. Didn’t quite understand your last post. My point (which doesn’t really contradict yours) is that a tie would massively increases the odds of KC getting the #1 seed. I think that is significant.

Family just has to give permission

Apparently diggs went to hospital and the press had to vouch for security to let him in… I bet that hospital is a bit of a circus with people trying to get access.

Yeah most hospitals aren’t allowing much in the way of visitors right now either

Someone asked Joe if he was still at the stadium:

Oh I’m not saying it wasn’t. I just can’t believe that was the decision they came to.

Sure that would work. But it seems like there is a lot of stuff that leaks before anyone really has time to get that.

And for something like a press conference, I don’t know why anyone would give consent for that. I can’t imagine giving it if I was that dude’s spouse or parent. But maybe I’m just weird like that.

Yeah, I was wondering if it’s bad news and the family doesn’t want any disclosure right now then they could stop it (I presume)?
