Can someone give me some cliffs on how Trump supported candidates did vs non-Trump supported candidates in primaries today. I thought about looking it up, but this seemed easier.

There’s a little information on that in here:

Tom Rice got smoked in Myrtle Beach (lol) after voting for impeachment.

Nancy Mace (wasn’t sufficiently all-in on Trump but never opposed him on anything) beat a mega-trumpy challenger crazy person in Charleston.

And away we go

Senior Democrats, including Maloney, say the situation is more complicated. They argue the GOP spent heavily for a symbolic, short-lived victory because the seat will disappear due to a redistricting quirk. The new version of the district will be much more winnable for Democrats.

Herschel Walker, the Republican nominee from Georgia for the U.S. Senate, confirmed that he has two more previously unknown children, adding another “secret” child that the former football star admitted to earlier this week.

Walker now says he has four kids, only one of whom was previously known.

Walker’s disclosure is the second time this week the former star professional football player, who has been repeatedly publicly critical of African-American absentee fathers, has been forced to admit he had children out of wedlock after media reports of their existence.

Nevertheless, 10 years ago, nothing down there would have been remotely winnable no matter how much they spent. Now they can. This is not good regardless of what happens with that specific seat.

Possibly, but I feel like this isn’t the kinda thing that’s gonna move the needle with many GOP voters down there at all.

“It totally seemed like a reasonable thing to vote for Herschel Walker before, but THIS is a bridge too far!”

But actually it might keep some racists home who might have previously held their noses and voted.

As a suburban voter, I know I’M definitely not voting for Herschel Walker now.

If you want to keep racists home, find out if he had a child with a white woman.

Given the geometric progression, his kids’ votes could make the difference in the election.
