Yes but some of the maps get fought in court, and that NY map was drawn for this election by a special master. I’m not sure if it was a permanent map or not. @j8i3h289dn3x7?
Colorado is climbing the ranks of safe states in my kid’s college hunt. Arizona entering Texas/Florida territory.

I managed to avoid the whole drama yesterday, I’m on vacation on Costa Rica and I have to say going for a day long hike in the rain forest beats doomscrolling election day. I might come back here November 2024.

Yep, again why this beats the alternative but not exactly dancing in the streets.
I did my Ph.D. at CSU in Fort Collins and loved it. Colorado is a wonderful state and seems to be trending aggressively more blue. Feel free to PM if you have any questions.

Crazy thought here, but do we really want to win the House? What can we get passed with a 218-217 majority in the House and a 50-50 majority in the Senate? Like, anything at all?
Are whatever marginal gains we could make legislatively worth trading the ability to blame Republicans for causing gridlock?
Are we better off with Trump tweeting rants at McCarthy for not going full MAGA with the House? Are we better off with the GOP running a dog and pony show impeachment?
I’m not entirely sure. I want to win the House emotionally because fuck these fascists, but at the end of the day I’m not sure I see any path to meaningful legislation and if that’s the case, holding the power could be more of a liability than a benefit.

i thought the play was to just impeach Trump and then DeSantis runs as the outsider against the republican establishment as mini Trump.
It would be awful to have all the silly chairs and bogus investigations for two years, but I can see it being a campaign plus in 24. Vote the psychos out of any power.
controlling the commitees seems like a bigger thing throughout the year, not that reconciliation one a year isn’t big
