I mean I knew Vance was a terrible candidate but is he really this bad? Is Ryan hammering him with carpetbagger memes like Fett is doing to Oz? I haven’t really heard shit about this race recently, but there must be something going on more than Vance being Vance.

I think the Republican brand as a whole is taking a beating lately and also JD is hopelessly inauthentic. Don’t think Tim Ryan could pull off Fetterman-style attacks tho.

My two favorite parts about the Oz shopping trip, other than him using the word “crudités,” were a) he didn’t use a cart or a basket, just piled the shit in his arms, and b) he’s like “holy shit look how expensive salsa is” when yeah, of course, because you bought the fresh, refrigerated stuff. Just get the Tostito’s, Newman’s Own, Pace, or the store brand or something. None of your guests will give a shit.

It’s one of those videos where every watch you notice another subtle hilarious detail. I didn’t pick up on the lack of basket the first time around. On a subsequent viewing I realized he got the salsa price wrong - he quoted the label that’s probably associated with the item to its right (the bruschetta), whereas the salsa price label is on the left. Likely a product of not actually having shopped in a grocery store in many years.

He also starts off with “my wife wants some vegetables” so he’s coming across (deliberately?) as just another henpecked husband running errands for his bossy wife. Just trying to stay afloat in Joe Biden’s inflation-plagued America. Who can’t relate to that?
