2022 Midterm Elections (Abandon hope all ye who enter here) butnahhh. or maybe?

Is this all dads, or just dads of children under 18? I’m having trouble believing that everyone’s elderly, Fox-addled dads are abandoning the GOP in droves.

My Fox-addled step-mom works in at least three digs at Biden every time I visit. She was a full-on dittohead in 1984 and is past the point of saving, so I just give her my best derisive blank stare and don’t say anything. I do tend to lose my shit when she compares Trump to actual decent people and parrots the master businessman, self-made man horseshit.

Another Easter Egg you guys might have missed is that Oz doesn’t know the name of the store he’s in (it’s “Wegmans” not “Wegners”). That’s like being in the Midwest and not knowing what a Meijers is.

At least he’s not fouling Danny’s good name with his evil breath

I was looking at the Twitter thread, and they think it’s a Redners that he’s in. So he just mashed the two names together and no one noticed before it was posted. Great quality control.

  1. Meijer, not Meijers
  2. I don’t think Meijer has locations in Minnesota or Iowa yet, so there are Midwesterners who don’t know what it is.

Thats also a NY chain! Surely there is some PA grocery chain like “Der Schniedeltown” or “Gabba Gabbas” or something like that?

Looks like it says Redners right above his head near the $6 salsa. He’s so bad it almost seems like intentional parody.

It’s always legal to add an S. I’m heading to Krogers right now.

Love it

You are going to need to show your work on this one. I’m sure I’m at least as pro-choice as you and even I think it’s not illogical. In fact it’s perfectly possible to believe that and still be pro-choice.

The real answer to this whole issue, as alluded to others above, is that it doesn’t matter whether preventing an embryo from implanting is killing/aborting it or not. That doesn’t change what someone should be allowed to do with their own body anything that happens to be inside it.

I think this is a problem that a lot of pro-choice folks make when debating this issue. They try to make claims like, well if you do X, then it’s not really killing anything or it’s not an “abortion” or whatever. That’s a trap. You have to be able to own it and say that it doesn’t matter. And a lot of people just don’t want to do that because they think it comes off the wrong way. Maybe sometimes people think they can maybe appeal to the tiny sliver of people from whom all of this definitional stuff actually makes a difference. That’s dumb. Those people don’t exist.

Ectopics implant, they just implant in the wrong place.

And if its not removed, there is a significant risk to the woman’s health.

True. But whether that’s true or not really has no bearing on whether one should view prevention of implantation as an abortion or not. Whichever of those things you think it is, a woman should still be allowed to terminate an ectopic at the drop of a hat.

Unless your point is total control and not really about babies.

That might be one’s motivation, but it doesn’t actually help or change the argument at all.

Then again, it’s not like people discuss this issue like logical ethicsbots.

OK one last thing before I let this go, between: broccoli, raw asparagus, full-size (not baby) carrots, guacamole, salsa, and tequila… only broccoli would ever be in a veggie/crudité platter?
