I like lentils. Cheap source of protein and fiber and they’re actually pretty tasty. I don’t need Bloomberg or NYT to tell me that though.
Tiki?
They’re good in small quantities and with other things. But a whole serving of just lentils is a bit more earthiness than I care for.
Rinse them before cooking. But sure, variety is good. I used to hate them as a kid.
Well tough, you have to eat them so rich people can keep eating steak.
I don’t think she has an MBA, actually.
I like lentils too, but it’s this part that is hilarious to me. That “be happy with your lentils poors” is apparently a new talking point.
Lentil curry is great.
In other news, this is my new favorite Twitter account. John Calhoun looks like someone just murdered his dog.

I have way more beef with the bottom set of underlined lyrics than the top.
In defense of Calhoun, smiling in pics hadn’t been invented yet. This is supposed to be the first example.
It’s Willly’s fault.
Anyone else regularly do the NYT Crossword? I started on Monday and am really enjoying them. I assume that the earlier ones in the week are easier than the later ones? Today and yesterday have been brutal.
I tried a random archived puzzle and was like wtf this is way too hard. I do the minis every day and they’re easy. More my speed.
Saturday is the hardest, Sunday is like a bigger Thurs/Wed. Monday is a gimme. The dedicated NYT games app is great. There are like 20 years of archived puzzles. When I was starting out like a year ago I would often do the M-W from the prior year or two. Thursdays often have tricks like a reebus. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/01/crosswords/yes-you-can-write-more-than-one-letter-in-a-square.html
You will quickly find that 60% the Mon-wed puzzles can be solved from a list of about 50 words. You can start with looking at this wiki page for “oleo”:
Dude… thank you for this. I honestly was getting concerned I was having a stroke or something. I had no idea what was happening on the these.
This is a useful, maybe essential, read if you’re doing NYT crosswords. https://www.nytimes.com/guides/crosswords/how-to-solve-a-crossword-puzzle

I mean he’s wrong, but execs love the idea of squeezing their workers, especially those working paycheck to paycheck.
