Meh, the road from Wilco/Radiohead to Bon Iver/The National who are her two biggest current collaborators is a straight line.
Radio isn’t a revenue stream for any pop act, labels pay to put their songs on.
I basically know that, and I would probably listen to the national if my friends did, but I like things a little weirder. Taylor seems very nice and if she went like 30% pixies or 30% rem I would probably have to like her stuff. If she went full animal collective I’d probably get concert tickets.

It’s weird in 2010 Animal Collective were so huge. Their last few albums have gotten very little hype but MPP was gigantic in indie circles.

Can anyone think of a type of corporate meeting that’s just as instantly recognizable as a corporate meeting, but maybe less cliche than “quarterly review meeting”?
It’s for this line: “I sure as hell wasn’t stressing about how Vicki was a little brusque with me in the quarterly review meeting.”
I would say standup meeting, but no one knows what that is and I don’t want it to be programming specific. Like “sprint retrospective” has a nice ring to it. but I think would just confuse people. Town Hall, All Hands, those imply big meeting, not conference room where office politics go down.
Board meeting, partners meeting, strategic review session, comp review meeting…
You go to fancy meetings.
I don’t go to most of those. Just things that I hear about as meetings. Could just have team meeting if you are looking for something generic and smaller scale.
Yeah needs to be the kind of meeting the average office worker attends. The reader knows I’m a programmer and work in an office, but that’s about it.
We call these “quarterly business reviews” or QBRs.
