Depending on where that 120 acres is and what the situation was he could absolutely have grown up “poor.” Sole income source for a family dies and leaves behind only some land worth $x while single mother now tries to make a living? Absolutely they could have been at the poverty level after the money from selling/mortgaging/whatever the land dried up.
The family still owns the land…
ETA: owning a bunch of land doesn’t seem poor to me. Getting evicted from a bunch of apartments growing up because your parents couldn’t make rent seems poor, and was my experience.

Might be a bigger failson than Meghan McCain
It appears that he is at least laughing at himself with the photos.
Yeah, this. I’m assuming it’s like WC Fields’ billiards routine. You have to be pretty accomplished at something to be able to appear so fully and perfectly incompetent at it. I actually think both of those pics are pretty great.
Has some Mighty Mighty Bosstones meets The Devil Went Down to Georgia thing going.

This is just wings reverting to rational prices after a 20 year boom cycle with no basis in reality.
at one of my old jobs we had a server cluster located in finland and it was always for one reason or another taking a shit, was hard not to think of this every time
Damn I’m going to have to check on that one. Pre-pandemic a 2.5lb bag of frozen wings was $8.99, then it shot up to $14.99, then $10.99, and about two weeks ago it was back at $14.99. Maybe I’ve been keeping an eye on it.
in the poker game of life, Wings are the rake.
