My favorite meal as a child was Caesar salad, a filet mignon with béarnaise sauce, and crème brûlée!
Ah yes, the totally normal food preferences of a typical American child.

Man that is crazy, and I thought I hated phone calls.
I spend about that much on groceries and I never eat out.
I’m a big fan of her gastroenterologist
my gastroenterologist recommends, “You could try to figure out what is causing issues and cut it out, but you’d probably be sad about it, so it’s likely best just to have a little bit of everything.”
Wait you really spend less than $50 a week on groceries for all of your food for a week?
oreos are cheap, unless you get the quadruple stuff or whatever
I don’t track how much I spend on food, but
Cereal and coffee for breakfast can’t be more than $1/day.
Lunch is either PB&J or cheese sandwich on homemade bread that costs me under $1/loaf — can’t be more than $1/day.
An expensive dinner would be a $3 frozen pizza or veggie burger.
So we’re at $5/day plus fruit and veggies which is no more than $2/day. So that’s $7/day but let’s assume I’m leaving out stuff and bump it up to $9/day Canadian = $63CAN/wk = $49.31USD. But for example tonight’s dinner is fresh bread with zucchini and tomatoes from my garden with some cheese so not more than a dollar.
Tulsi Gabbard guest hosted for Tucker tonight to attack US intelligence, Putin would be so proud of her
I don’t track it either but put me down for <$30/week on food.
Wasn’t even a little bit surprising for me to see her on the TV at the gym today when it’s usually Tucker. I was like “yes, that tracks.”
That’s amazing.
For a family of 3 we spend $300/week minimum at the grocery store plus another $100 week at coffee shops and then whatever we eat out, which really isn’t a lot these days. The grocery bill also has some non food items but not a ton. Then we also go to the farmers market a couple of times a month plus I order from Wild Fork about once a month. We have to be averaging over $150 PP for food every week.
We’re probably the same, but food is an important part of our lives and we make just about everything from scratch.
I could be off. Like that pint of keto ice cream I got yesterday was a lot to spend on a treat. But my diet is generally pretty limited in both variety and calories. Up to now it’s included very little meat or fish. I almost never eat out anymore. Beans are cheap. So are oats. I buy them in bulk. Peanuts. Vegetables are expensive, maybe I haven’t allowed enough for them. The cheap apples are good. A bag of frozen blueberries lasts a month; with some whole milk Greek yogurt I can imagine it’s ice cream. The five whole foods thing would be easy money.
Oh shit I forgot about the greek yogurt. That’s $1 of the extra $2 a day I left out.
It would definitely be less scary.
A straw is homeomorphic to a donut, but then again so are you.
I used to have a big gulp habit and sometimes I would leave the store and take a big draw of… air. Because my straw had more than one hole.
You don’t know how many holes I have tho.
