If alcohol is involved at all, then this is not surprising at all. Unfortunately there wasn’t a Good Guy With A Gun there to mow down the dangerous (Urban?) guy with the bow and arrow.
There’s a huge spat between the aviation and telecoms industries (and the DOT and FCC, as their advocates) over the beginning of real 5G service in the US on Wednesday.

obviously cool but even more cool is that melanoma went from damn near everyone dying once it spread beyond the skin to damn near everyone surviving. Jimmy Carter had brain mets in 2015 at 90-something and is still alive. Never used to happen.
Some fancy drugs that messed with your immune system worked really well. My dad was in the phase 3 trial for one of them.

Wow, did we all just collectively miss the death of Desmond Tutu? I just heard about it today.
It got covered in the media of course but a lot of people seem to be getting out while the getting is good and I guess there’s just so much attention available.
It was front page news everywhere as far as I could tell.
I mean, I searched and didn’t see anyone comment on it here.
There’s not a lot for us to say about it. UP probably isn’t a great substitute for a daily newspaper.
