That was a hilariously poorly designed 1 inch pass to Bernard. Gio ainât super fast and didnât get a full running start from the edge of formation. Way different using him and Mecole Hardman.
Andy Reid is streets ahead on that play compared to 90% of the league.
New TikTok Fad: âTell me you didnât watch Mac and Zach play without telling me you didnât watch Mac and Zach play.â
Belichick is a good coach. But itâs impossible to be a great coach in 2021 when you constantly blow easy in game decisions that piss away large amounts of win equity. Heâs truly horrific on 4th down (and was again last night).
The Patriot team had a lot of talent this year. Really good o-line, backs, decent skill position guys and a good (highly paid) defense. He wasnât coaching a bottom 5 team. He coached a team that had an easy schedule and deserved to win around 10 games and get stomped in the postseason. Thatâs how it played out.
Again guys - we now have like 9 full seasons of games where Belichick doesnât have Tom Brady at QB and heâs 10 games under .500. Rex Ryan had a better record.
Heâs a good coach but youâre out of your mind if you think heâs some football whisperer. That old 2+2 post where people voted Belichick or Brady - the Belichick voters is like a Whoâs Who list of people who donât understand a lick of football.
Youâre way underestimating how hard it is to have a winning team with a rookie QB. How often does that ever even happen these days? Big Rape and Russ are the only ones that immediately come to mind, but those are HOF caliber guys.
but the patriots even ignoring a rookie QB, the roster is definitely better than Jax/Jets/etc. A lot of teams with rookie QBâs well they were drafting in the top 5 usually for a reason.
It happens when rookie QBs go to decent teams. That is what is rare. Rookie QBs go to terrible teams - the Pats werenât terrible last year. They were 7-9 last year with Cam who was HORRIFIC. A rookie Mac Jones was a significant upgrade, and they bought a ton of useful players in free agency.
