I think it was 1) Bakerās final audition for next yearās QB job (show me what you got), with the expectation that he would fail as miserably as he did; 2) an appeal to the FO and ownership to bring in a competent quarterback next season; and 3) a tank job, as the rest of the season is now meaningless other than to elevate the teamās draft position.
I intended to read Atlas Shrugged but instead I read Lord of the Rings multiple times. Oh, what could have been.
