I’m with you. “We might not do the fascism for four more years” is a win. Hurray!

The fascism for certain people and communities will still be there for the next 4 years

70 million voters have the taste for fascism now. It’s not going away of its own accord.

That is based on the 2010 census. Texas is expected to gain 3 EVs in 2024 and Fl is expected to gain 2. NY, Illinois, Cali are all expected to lose 1.

Based on this map right here Biden would have 8 less EVs than he got this year. We are losing almost an entire Wisconsin after the census changes take place.

All this means to me is that we’ve got work to do

Reading the article on Pelosi declaring for the speakership is crushing

House Democrats will formally begin choosing their leaders on Nov. 18. No challenger to Pelosi is expected to emerge, and none could defeat her, although a small number of disgruntled House Democrats want a change atop her caucus.

With Pelosi having declared her intentions, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) also is expected to stay in his role, as is the No. 3 Democrat in the House, Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.). Hoyer is 81, while Clyburn is 80. The octogenarian triumvirate of Pelosi, Hoyer and Clyburn has held the top three spots in the Democratic Caucus for the last 14 years.

Also in that AOC interview she said she is 50/50 about staying in politics because the shitshow of the democratic party. I could see Pelosi and the ghouls maintaining power and continuing to go after the progressives driving her to give up. God I hope not.

I’m gonna get back to my 70 million people and almost fully half of all the votes going to trump thing…

Let’s break down all those Trump votes. First, you got the uber wealthy. They’re selfish pricks who’s self interest and only concern is their money and inheritance, but at least they have a their reasons. Then you’ve got the religious nut jobs. NO ABORTION, marriage should be between a man and woman, blah, blah, blah is their main concern. And then you have the racists. I believe most of these people are beyond hope and not worth our time (although I think some of the religious people can be saved - pun intended)

But this still leaves a sizeable number of Trump supporters who are none of the above. Trump won on a populist platform running against the most vanilla wonk establishment politician on earth. He beat out the most qualified person to ever run for president in Hillary Clinton. Why? Why did so many people vote for such an obvious unfit, uncouth, 6 time bankrupt pathological narcissist and serial lying gameshow host?

I think it’s because most people understand that the people in Washington don’t have their best interests at heart and have been fucking them for decades. While Trump framed everything in the most racist, nationalist, and isolationist way, he did threaten to blow up the establishment and THIS is what the people wanted

Most people agree to withdraw our troops and stop meddling and engaging in these needless wars. Most agreed to tear up NAFTA and stop shipping jobs overseas. And while I believe most Americans are open to giving asylum to refugee seekers, they also believe there should be some fair path to citizenship that doesn’t jump the line of all others seeking the same

Even though Trump frames everything in racist divisive rhetoric, he is above all, a populist. You just don’t get 70 millions votes otherwise. I know another person who’s a populist and believe he would’ve won in 2016 AND in 2020. His name is Bernie Sanders. People want POLICY change, not kumbaya speeches, and identity political lip service. I think it should be our job over the next 2-4 years to identify some common ground with many of those who voted Trump. I’ve said this before and I’ll keep saying it. We all have more in common with each other than we ever will with an establishment politician. You can’t tell me these people are all flat out against doing something about climate change and don’t want to see the working class make up ground to the billionaire class or think it’s fair that politicians keep baling out large corporations and their shareholders instead of decreasing wealth disparity

Bernie’s fatal mistake was branding himself a socialist. Poll after poll shows the majority of Americans agree on just about every single one of his policy ideas. The word has been weaponized to become synonymous with communism. So much so, people are willing to side with a racist who promises to blow up the establishment than gasp~ a “socialist”. But what’s really telling is that the establishment Dems would also prefer a racist who they know is impotent and has no real political ideology other than his own interests regardless of what he says, over a someone like Sanders who is a very real threat to actually blow up the establishment and end their grift

hmmm.

I mostly agree but I don’t think bernie would have done better in this election. I don’t know if you were trying to get at that or not, I’m just saying it.

Yeah knowing whether Bernie would have done better is a tough one. The socialism thing would have hurt more, and he wouldn’t have won over the suburbs, but it was also the highest turnout election in a century so it is possible he would have won over a ton of those new voters.

The vast majority of these new voters were super low info, and giving everyone healthcare and cash money would have hit. Dude would have been pounding on getting people help and that would have played well with new voters, much better than hey at least he’s not Trump vs OFB. Don’t know if it would have made up for the ground lost in the suburbs though.

He definitely would have done better with latinos though. Honestly it would have been a completely different election.

Non zero chance that Trump would’ve been able to pull off a coup (not by himself but he would have a lot of allies against Bernie) if Bernie was the opponent and the race was close.

Well he certainly would have had the media on his side on that one and all the billionaires. Yeah that would have been a tough one.

Not Latinos in FL, which was the most significant loss. Bernie might have done better in TX, but still hard to see him swinging it 6 points more than Biden.

Dems working on getting steamrolled by the next fascist to run against them

I know everyones been super happy Trump lost, that lasted about 12 hours for me, and I’m fully back on team WAAF with these fucking ghouls retaining control. We lost seats in an election year, we’re gonna get curb stomped in 2022 with these stupid fucks.

Like I said, I didn’t flinch. We merely got the ball back. We still have establish the run pushovers in charge of everything, will go 3 and out, and just get steamrolled again.

To be charitable, half the reason Mitch knew he could get away with what he did from 2008 to 2016 is because the President was a black man named Barack HUSSEIN Obama.

Where can I leverage my net worth against this?
