I would have been lost for a place to go in the darkest timeline of my life, I’ve struggled thoughout this last 4 years putting pressure on my relatives & other half because of my fear for the future.
They all realised this was the one tbh and gave me a little shouting space once they knew just how bad this president was.
There’s just too many here to @ at as it would take me all week to do so and it does feel a bit weird to not actually know anyone IRL but think of you peeps as genuinely decent people who care for others & that’s a rare commodity today.

I slept like a log last night & have absolutely enjoyed reading this thread all morning giving me hope for Americans future & will bring the UK to a better place overall I believe.
The thing that pisses me off the most about Reagan and his ghouls and the CIA is what they did to Jimmy Carter’s legacy, and Reagan conspiring with Iran was a huge part of that. Carter wasn’t perfect, but he was a hard working and intelligent man who took the job seriously and poured everything he had into it. I mean he literally got undermined by the deep state.
There’s been chatter over the past decade plus of just eliminating local sports guy altogether and giving his time to the weather guy, because only olds watch local news and all they care about is the weather. I think some stations are even doing it.
I used to have a super naive view of Reagan until I read up on him. @suzzer99 he’s legit the beginning of all the shit we see today. Trickle down economics is his, cutting taxes for the rich is him, cutting social services, the wealth inequality, destroying unions, plus all the foreign policy stuff and racism everyone else touched on.
We should dig up Reagans body and throw it into a sewage treatment plant and burn down his library. He caused the suffering of untold millions, not just during his presidency but since.
Yep thats trickle down economics, cut taxes only for the wealthy and tell the rubes it’ll trickle down to them. Its clear that shit is still effective today, and thats because of Reagan.
The problem is here its just on a smaller scale. But anti Trudeau stuff is all over Facebook and Canadians are just as susceptible to misinformation campaigns as Americans. Our institutions have just done a better job combating misinformation.
