Except for maybe the MTV reference every line is still relevant.

This one because I listened to it today for the first time in a long time and am only now finding out Thunderclap Newman was Pete Townshend’s band. :person_facepalming:

Actually, my favorite protest song is ‘Where’s the Beef?’ by Clara Peller.

Money speaks for money, the devil for his own
Who comes to speak for the skin and the bone?
What a comfort to the widow, a light to the child
There is power in a union

The union forever defending our rights
Down with the blackleg, all workers unite
With our brothers and our sisters, together we will stand
There is power in a union

probably. I think the “why” is pretty self-explainatory, both are great songs and Lowkey is the only rapper who can bring tears to my eyes

Powerful video

Offspring - Kill The President from their debut album. They removed it from the CD in 2001.

don’t even have to speak French to appreciate. This is a little racist, but what I like most about this is all the white, presumably rich (cause they are in like, a choir) people taking part in this. Easy to forget there are some good ones, too, sometimes.

Maybe ponied.
