got to 74 last night. mostly 3-4 manning slabs then nexus. not pushing TOO hard, but making it fun

i am frantically trying to get inscription high enough to try to bink a major glyph, some of the dk ones are going for 2k+ right now
so becsuse herbs are 20g a pop, I am farming the hyperspawn with the giants in coldarra, you can herbalize them and you can get stacks of herbs super fast, im like the only one that seemingly figured this out too, I sold a few stacks for a lot of money last night but now am thinking its probably better to save them for myself.

Dinged 71 just doing quests. Not exactly an ideal day of grinding for me as I had to finish work while turning in those dailies (which got a whopping 2 bars per character). Then I had to make dinner and entertain a baby with one arm while trying to level. I’ll take it.

there’s already 4k queue on faerlina so looks like im gonna have to babysit this all day, frickin annoying
if you log out now you wont be able to play til tomorrow, loooool i hate this. I got 71 mostly from spamming nexus and utgarde. we had a DK tank which did not seem ideal because he couldnt hold threat on the mage/warlock so I was MD/explosive trap on CD basically. They were old friends of mine and they were kind of talking shit a little bit about how much they pump and I am sitting here in like basically sunwell equivalent gear like “o rry?”
on the big aoe pulls I was doing 5-6k dps without breaking a sweat and blew them out of the water the entire time, having aoe as a hunter is a weird weird feeling. Hunter has to be BIS for DK tanks for dungeon spam AINEC. The instant aoe threat from MD is so nice, plus if any get loose I can taunt them and walk them back to the death ball (without losing any dps because all my shit’s instant cast), or cc them, w/e I want
yeah i heard the hunter aoe damage was real… our hunter buddy just moved across the country last week so he hasn’t been on yet…
i’ve been running prot pal/frost dk/ boomkin/ hybrid disc/holy priest spec’d into holy nova damage 4 mans pretty much the whole time. seems to be working fast enough and we get a larger share of the exp
holy fuck and these things drop like candy… it’s like 25g per herb mill right now. I think the math checks out to just print money but prices are unstable and it’s hard to gauge demand

Dinged 77 this morning, mostly questing solo and hitting each dungeon once along the way for quests. I was hoping to make it to 78 today… but then I took a shower. And I must’ve been away before then for a few minutes and I got logged out. So now I’m number 8292 in the 300+ minute queue.

I just hit 68, so I’m getting ready to hit up the Borean Tundra. Going to get mining to 375 first.
I’m a drood, so I have flight form, but am currently at 225 riding skill. What should I be getting training wise before going to Northrend? I have 1400 gold.
you should be fine, you’ll only be able to use ground mount til 77 and you get cold weather flying for 1k. subsequent alts can buy it earlier.
if you quest to 77 you’ll have zero problems with the gold part.
also questie stops working sometime in dragonblight and never works again so get ready for that, it’s driving me fucking insane right now
Hit 80 last night and now I can finally play the game just in time for raids to drop. I was honor capped, so one of the first things I did was buy some pvp gear so Wintergrasp + Daily quests & honor don’t go to waste. Guess I need to find a guild now so I can have reliable raiding and not deal with the GDKPs since I’m probably too poor to buy anything in them anyways.
I’m 76 still. queue boss has been formidable. I can’t just hold a spot all day in line, and I can’t play all night. I just went to run an errand and my box lost its spot and now I’m staring at 7 hours.
Looks like they turned off free xfers the day of the raid release too. fuckin goblins.
Finally only just now got on. Holy fuck.
Guess i better get used to it. I’m super close to transferring but I have actual friends left on this server that I will probably raid with. my 25m transferred off last night. I woke up to like 6 people left in the guild.
I’m realizing now though why WOTLK is such a better expansion than TBC/SoM - the world is insanely engaging. Like, it’s so much more dynamic and every single tiny piece of it has some story attached to it. TBC and vanilla feel like random mobs scattered across a landscape, and TBC in particular feels absolutely stupid, like no one involved at any point has any stakes or any reason to be there whatsoever.
nice thing about doing naxx again is although I’ve cleared it at least 20 times I was always too drunk to remember a lot of it so now it’s gonna be like experiencing it for the first time all over again
I cant believe that I thought they wouldnt fuck this release up because the IP is unfuckable.
I’m really close to quitting. I can’t play this game. queue boss too formidable, and made worse by issues like yesterday where I was 2.5 hours into a queue and got kicked, then back to the end of the line again, then finally get in and dc’d multiple times (at one point they kicked like 9k ppl out of a queue and the login server nearly crashed from people trying to get back in), to which I ended up in ANOTHER 5k queue.
I’m level 79, barely. What a joke. not willing to transfer to a server that will die within 3 months and leave behind all the connections I have made here.
yeah it kinda killed my guild. like most people are remote login que’ing, but we have about 3-4 that simply cant. due to their professions requiring extensive travel or not having signal and what not…
we cleared naxx with 19 last night and it seemed like it took forever…
and there really aren’t people out there searching for new guilds just quite yet, even on themega servers. we need 2 hunters and 1-2 rogues and 90% of the interest we get is from random prot paladins.
hunters are in demand on my server too - wonder where they all went. I’m loving mine, just can barely ever play. I’m not even really working but day to day stuff gets in my way where I can’t just sit there and babysit a connection for 12 hours.
yeah. idk. we had 2, one decided to go back to our old server because of the Q, and the other is in your situation where he’s not even 80 yet because he simply cant manage to get online.
