Am I wrong for thinking that they should have had someone else take the second penalty? I feel like it is too easy for the player to get in their own head because of the dynamics of how they kicked it the first time, unless they are a Jorghino/Bruno penalty wizard.
Thatâs probably over thinking it. Kane has a reputation (I assume backed by data) of being an excellent PK taker. And coaches are too conservative to do something like that, if Option B guy misses then you get fired (perhaps not unreasonably),
If Kane scored a penalty in the 119th minute to level the scores and send the game to a shoot-out there is no way you either drop him from the first five or move him off your preferred kick order.

Injury specifically - reports are coaching staff believed he had hamstring tightness and he refused a medical on it. Which explains why they were saying different things.

I had said at the r16 that Morocco were imo the most likely dark horse/underdog to win 1 game, and Spain is slightly better than Portugal but itâs still hard to win twice in a row as an underdog.
Croatia are a top team, but they havenât won a knockout game in regulation since 1998 still. They have been incredibly lucky.
