This was one of those times where using my standard consonant burner as my first guess was huge. Using standard openers in hard mode for this one could get you into trouble.

Yeah, this. Never would’ve gotten it otherwise. I narrowed it down to somewhere in the Indian Ocean and started looking for place names I didn’t recognize.

I do enjoy nerdlegame but agree with others that it might be a bit too easy. I expect to get it in 3 every time.
Interested in how the “Worldle is too easy” folks would do at this one. I think @eyebooger was one of them.
I am a “Worldle is too easy” person. I get it on the first guess almost every time.
But almost every person who struggles to get a country like Iceland in 6 guesses will have no hope of getting this, unless they use the predictive function.
Worldle is a fun game but flawed on the basis of a limited number of geographic entities to choose from and an arbitrary idea of what constitutes a geographic entity. There really should be a minimum number of km2 if it’s not a sovereign nation, or else you could get some really weird random islands (even moreso than this one).
I mostly get it on the first guess too. Having said that I’m much more likely to fail worldle than wordle, dordle, quordle, etc. and nerdle. This type of question is why.
