Looks like you had an easier time navigating a double green in position 3 for your first two guesses than I did. Took me a couple more to be sure it was fake.

Having green on both positions 1 and 3 helped out. After they both changed on guess 3, I knew one of those had to be wrong. Got lucky with guess 4, but I actually had quite a bit of info.
Yeah I had a true yellow R that I knew I had to put somewhere, and that dissuaded me from putting an S first. Rs are so often second or 4th, so I didnβt guess S in the first for a while.

This has been around for a while, but I just discovered Redactle this week, donβt think itβs been discussed here. Basically every day they give you a Wikipedia article with literally everything but prepositions/articles blacked out, so you have the lengths of the words as a tiny hint at least. Goal is to fill in words and get the title of the article in as few guesses as possible.
Basically itβs about as needle-in-a-haystack as Semantle but way more fair overall. Been doing it for 6 days and got them all, low of 31 guesses and high of about 140.

Got this is 165. Should have done 137 if only I were smart enough to guess the noun form after nailing the adjective form.
I got it in 41, mainly because I was lucky enough to start guessing internal body stuff at guess 5. Still took a couple dozen more guesses to gain any traction on it and zero in on what they were looking for.
But yeah if you donβt get the general subject for a while it can be really painful.
Yeah, I didnβt really have any strategy going in. I was just mashing random words. Then I started doing common words (have, has, well, there, these, those, etc.) just to flesh things out a bit. Numbers were a good way to get a few hits at least, although I donβt know if thatβs a winning strategy. I was sorta stuck in the mindset of localities, since so many have wikipedia articles, but then I thought about just playing literally animal, vegetable, or mineral, hit on animal, and realized that taxonomic classification was a big subset of wikipedia articles, too.
I donβt know if Iβll be a regular player, but youβre correct that itβs more engaging than sematle. Much easier to get a hit
I solved todayβs Redactle (#224) in 7 guesses with an accuracy of 42.86%. Played at https://www.redactle.com/
*flex*
Solid flex. Took me 33
16 here. Couple of dumb late guesses because even once I knew it was a part of speech and probably started with a vowel thanks to βan _______β very early, for some reason I went with article and interjection first.

And an unimpressive 80 on redactle
26 on redactle today, but could easily have been 100 or like, 8. I feel like itβs all a matter of at what point you happen to guess music and then youβre getting it within a handful after that.
This maybe my greatest comeback yet.
