@kre8tive ^^

I agree there.

I think the GOPete monicker is horrible but whatever for people to use on the forum per free speech etc etc, but I wouldn’t want the Twitter account to use it. In my view, taking sides like that is not the ethos of the forum.

Agree.

Yeah… The GOPete is not the best look overall and I would prefer not to do it on official stuff.

Agree that we should maintain a micron-thin veneer of neutrality, the better to lure unsuspecting pre-radicals into this re-education facility.

The trams make a huge difference, relieving the subway of passengers.

I don’t think the official twitter account for be taking sides, though it’s 100% true that Pete is taking an industry talking point to try and divide the left.

Got owned by RATM. Friend wanted to go to Coachella for Frank Ocean. Said sure because I’m a lazy poker player who abandons his gf for weeks at a time and she somehow is ok with it. Lineup isnt great, I dont love camping but whatever. Its Rage and a few other great acts and just one weekend. Then Rage and RTJ announce a world tour and are somehow coming to Winnipeg 2 weeks after I’ve paid for Coachella tickets and airfare.

Cheapest ticket for their arena show was $170 Canadian though ($130 usd).

I’m wondering if it’s worth the effort to start a conversation about modding. Do you like things as they are with zero moderation? Or do you want to tweak things slightly? Please vote here: Moderation - #123 by cassette

Cheapest for their show in Oakland were $132 so they’re at least consistent with their pricing.

The story underneath this one is about Bezo’s $150M home purchase. Seems fairly related.

The announcement comes in the wake of the recent upheaval stemming from the censure of author Courtney Milan that resulted in board president Damon Suede and RWA executive director Carol Ritter tendering resignations in early January and the cancellation of the annual RITA awards.

Agree re the Twitter account taking sides. Also, I was going to mention that the account bio doesn’t expressly mention that we’re a politics forum. It gets a decent number of Twitter views and it may be helpful to explicitly invite people to drop in and post.

I recently resurrected the thread for that exact discussion (fwiw kre8 deleted the tweet in question, which was intended to be a personal tweet)

It think the official Twitter account can take sides in principle, but only as a community decision, not as a “guy running the account” decision.

Like, I doubt we will have any problem with anti-Trump tweets during the general election, but we should probably have a process for approving tweets for or against particular candidates.
