Many people asking this!
got a cold-call email from a headhunter, which isn’t unusual in my field (software sales, I get maybe 3-5 a week in my linkedin inbox), but what was different this time:
- dude sent it to my work email (lol instantly telling me “I am way too incompetent to represent you”)
- dude ALSO managed to cc my boss! (he has the same first name and he has “firstname@company.com” as an alias)
got a pretty good chuckle out of that one
At least your boss knows you’re in demand. Tell him you get these emails all the time and you sure hope that your boss can match their compensation offers.
oh they know, it’s literally constant bombardment, i’m not special in this regard at all.
btw, I forgot the best part, dude’s email signature is in comic sans
Maybe the left should embrace the framework of culture war and mobilize to win that war before the shooting starts.
Seems to me the left has been doing that for quite some time and winning lots of battles but losing the war. Turns out lots of people don’t actually want all men to be created equal with a fair shot at life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. What they really want is to benefit from being in the upper half of a class hierarchy they pretend doesn’t exist.
The left needs to be less pro-equality and more pro-fuck white people.
I can’t really speak to the legal aspects, especially in Canada, but can you verify that this DC is really who he claimed to be? That call sounds like it could be a setup for a scam of some kind.
Don’t respond to what seems like an obvious fraud?
Definitely verify the DC exists and even seek independent confirmation they contacted you.
The rich people are mostly white if that helps.
Is the US you should never tell the cops anything, idk what the law is in Canadia. He’s the detective, let him figure out where you live.
Assuming it’s legit then the explanation that suggests itself to me is that someone used your address as fake contact details or something like that. Sounds like it could be fun, keep us posted.
Yeah, that’s the only explanation that came to my mind as well.
On the other hand, ggoreo hasn’t exactly denied defrauding a local business, so…
Sounds like you cracked that case. Let’s see if the detective can use Google.
“Yes, I live at this address being used by a scammer” seems like something you don’t want to admit to the police!
A few years ago during a rare rainy San Diego day, I was driving away from a doctor’s appointment and a homeless guy knocked on my car window asking if I had an extra jacket. I happened to have a box of donations meant for goodwill in my back seat, so I was like yes I do.
Now, I usually have a couple no longer personally needed jackets/hoodies and shoes in my trunk along with a couple new packs of socks & underwear that I pick up cheap at discount stores.
I’m down for the “meet up and do good shit” + @microbet vs @stimabuser Rumble in the Concrete Jungle. But I won’t be back in SoCal until end of June.
You guys are the best.
It’s summer in ca though, wouldn’t water in plastic bottles sitting in my drunk be bad? Cbo release or some shit
barbie is more normal-proportioned and woke now, even if still plastic.
What are the betting odds?
So if you guys are going to bet let me drop full disclosure.
